PAWS (Personal Access Web
Services)
All LSU students are assigned
PAWS (Personal Access Web Services)
accounts. Personal Access Web Services (PAWS) is a dynamic electronic
kiosk which delivers a suite of applications to the students, faculty, and staff
of LSU based on their relationship to the University.
PAWS accounts are the primary means the University uses to
communicate with students. Students are expected to check their PAWS accounts
on a regular basis as all important university information will be disseminated
via PAWS. If students choose to use a private internet carrier, they are
responsible for forwarding their PAWS email to the private internet carrier.
This can be accomplished by logging into PAWS and choosing the following
selections > Personal Preferences > LSU Email > PAWS forwarding address.
How do I obtain a PAWS account?
Your Personal Access Code is your 6-digit birth date
We recommend you establish a security question the first time you
log on to PAWS by selecting > Personal Preferences > Security Question.
The security question will allow you reset your password online in the event
that you should forget it.
